The Thailand Cabinet recently announced several visa promotions to enhance the country’s tourism, a key industry for Thailand. One of these promotions is the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV), designed for digital nomads, remote workers, freelancers and participants in scheduled activities.
Extension of Stay
Through the Thai Immigration Bureau. After the maximum stay of 180 days + an extension for another 180 days at the Thai Immigration Bureau, the foreigner needs to depart the country and re-enter Thailand with the same DTV Visa within the visa validity date.

- A passport with at least 6 months validity
- Document Indicating Current Location
- Identity Card or Driving License or Permanent Resident Card

A completed and signed visa application form with a 4×6 cm photo taken within the last 6 months

Financial proof or bank statement with a minimum of 500,000 baht

Dependents
Documents proving relationship with the main applicant (e.g., marriage certificate, birth certificate)

Purpose-Specific Documents
Documents specific to the purpose of stay as follows
Employment contract (foreign employer, no income in Thailand)
Employer certification (foreign registered company)
Portfolio of previous work (for high-skilled talent, freelancers, digital nomads)
Invitation or acceptance letter for activities
